Dawn and Dusk

The pickup, the power and that cool A/C......!!!!!

The reign of the identity of a very powerful person on the move has almost neared its end, the car that was called by the rhino of roads by some and the elephant on roads by some, few hail it as the political lifeline of our democracy, some call it the lifeline in and around Kolkata, some call it the best way to go around from New Delhi Railway station, few know it as Rajnikant's only preferred car and I know it as something that has been there for my family for more than 50 years now, the Ambassador by Hindustan Motors; a legend in itself.

A quick run through of what, how and when about it. Began as Morris Oxford III, by Morris Motors Limited at Cowely, Oxford, it was reborn in 1958 as Ambassador by Hindustan Motors in India itself and most interestingly later on it went on to be exported to England....!!!! (The irony) The models lined up were Mark - I, Mark - II, Mark - III, Mark - IV, Ambassador Nova, Ambassador 1800 ISZ, Ambassador Classic, Ambassador Grand, Ambassador Avigo and lastly Ambassador Encore....... But it is sad indeed that we have so forgotten our Indian legend (one of the first Indian make cars) that its production has been suspended in May, 2014. Although it has been awarded the best taxi by BBC Top Gear.

They have even re-invented it under the name Amberoid, a contemporary version of Amabassador with cockpit cabin and state of the art inclusions, interiors and looks. It has been showcased in the auto-expo recently, but hasn't been introduced to the market yet. Let's just hope this attempt to revive the Indian Legend is successful....!!!!

Cheerio.....!!!!!

I could always see that coming....!!!!

Sixteen unread messages from 3 contacts....!!!!

And that whistle sound in metro that I hear every now and then is soon going to shut up. The constant messaging is going to drop. No more group chats, no more 'dp' worries and no more of the 0.99$ p.a. payment.....!!!!

With the increasing functional failure & app crash complaints there is a strong warning that like every other phenomena this giant wave has neared its end.....!!! Well, I would say that I can see it coming, soon we all are going to give up on 'Whatsapp' like we have forgotten our dear friend 'SMS' today. Everyday I see people wandering around and asking the whereabouts of their friends or may be calling them up and even SMSing them, though had they checked their whatsapp inbox, the other fellow has clearly sent out the message bearing his exact status...... But no, our dear guy won't even take the pains to go and see the message, why because he is just another human being. We as humans get tired of a thing if it tends to become monotonous, and then kaboom, we throw it away for a newer toy. Soon something is gonna come up that is going to get Whatsapp to the bottle neck and then the oblivion, 'Whatsapp will be replaced, from our phones, from our minds and from our lives'..........!!!!!
I may not be a Gadget Guru or Software Gyani but then I am still able to see the end of line. The line for whatsapp has been drawn by its very own fans, us.....!!!! This revolution is expectedly to start with Android, then the wave shall hit Windows and finally iOS. Let's just wait for the time to come. Let's look up, out of the phone screen there is something really beautiful called 'world' let's get back to it.
Cheerio......!!!!!
